Buried in Writing

I suppose it’s ironic that November is NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and I’ve been writing and writing like crazy. Except nothing ends up on the blog because it’s all been for assignments! As interesting as my assignments have been, I missed writing for the sake of writing. Just me in the quiet of the morning with my coffee and my thoughts unspooling on the keyboard.

Last night, I put the finishing touches to my final assignment! That moment when I hit the final ‘Save’ felt like a treat-myself-to-a-chocolate-lasagna moment. Of course there wasn’t any at hand but one can dream. I’m now 90% done with my Diploma in TESOL. In the next couple of weeks I’ll be doing my practicals and then ta-daa! If you’re wondering what kind of diploma can be completed in 2 months and want to do the same, drop me a message 🙂

Jingle Bells…

December is almost here. My favourite month. But it’s also going to be a busy month. Preparing to move back to Bintulu (force/plead/threaten contractors to finish up the house), IKEA shopping, Christmas prep, unpacking, last flurry of catching up with friends before I leave KL… oh and you know, that little thing called mommyhood.

I still remember landing in Narita Airport on Jan 2nd 2016, in the dead of winter and thinking of the year stretching out ahead of me, wondering what was in store for me. Then, just like the end of every year, I think the same thing – how did I reach here so quickly? But I’m glad that this year I have this blog to capture moments that otherwise would have been lost with time.

I know how it feels to not to be able to write for the sake of writing. I enjoy reading your stuff. Looking forward for more.

Me too have been quite busy lately neglecting my blog. But I think we still have even more important things to attend to sometimes. No worries about the lack of updates. Just do when you got time 🙂
